Introduction

You are here: Home / Robotics Course / Introduction

Before you can start building a robot, of your own design or anyone else’s, there are certain things you are going to need.

For a start you are going to need it to do at least some minimal “thinking”. For example it needs to tell the motor(s) what to do. You have a wealth of choices here, from cheap through to mega expensive. It might be a certain choice is all you need, or maybe you will want to pair up a couple for the best of all worlds. We need to choose the right selection for you.

Talking of motors, you are going to probably need at least one, but usually more. There are various types, so we need to go over those.

Then there are things like wheels, bodies, sensors …

Let’s start at the beginning, let’s choose a board as your robot’s brain!
